Instagram Profile Setup

The foundation everything else sits on.

Before any content, any offer, or any funnel, your profile has to do one job: make someone who lands on it immediately understand who you are, who you help, and what to do next.

Your bio needs to include:

  • Who you are and what you do, in specific language that anyone could understand
  • Who you help and what result you get them...focus on the results they want
  • An authority piece: one line that builds instant credibility, like your results
  • A clear call to action to their first step (e.g. “Grab the (specific) free guide below”)

Your link in bio should go to:

  • Your low-ticket offer or freebie as the first option
  • Your main paid offer as the second option
  • A page dedicated just to your main freebie and front-end products, so you can drive people to specific products or funnels and track landing-page views and clicks from Instagram

Pro tip: Treat your bio like a billboard. Someone should understand your entire business in under 5 seconds.

Content Strategy

Content that attracts buyers, not just scrollers and savers.

Your content tells people why they should care about what you have to say, why they need to listen to you, and how you solve their specific problem differently. It’s the storefront that draws them in, gets them to check everything out, and makes them feel compelled to buy right away.

The posting rhythm that works:

  • Start by posting 5 days a week. I like sharing talking head reels (my highest-converting format) and carousels. We also test new messaging on trial reels and run those as b-roll content.
  • Once you have a library of content built up, you can drop to 3 new posts a week and recycle your best performers.
  • Every single caption needs a call to action at the end. Always.
  • The more you sell, the more you actually sell.

What to talk about:

  • Content that speaks to the problem (and symptoms) your buyer is actively trying to solve
  • Content that positions you as the obvious but different solution
  • Content that makes them want to binge everything you've ever posted

Your Offer Suite

You need at least two offers and a plan to connect them.

You don’t need ten products, yet. You need a simple, connected offer suite that meets buyers wherever they are.

The simple structure:

  • One low-ticket offer ($27–$97): the easy yes that gets them into your ecosystem...a mini course, workshop, template pack, or PDF that solves one specific problem fast. This is your entry point, priced to make it easy to say yes to, built for quick wins.
  • One higher-ticket offer ($297–$5,000+): the deeper transformation. You could also stack an upsell off your low-ticket product anywhere from $197–$997, which works really well. I’m not doing 1:1 coaching or groups while I have a new baby, so we run multiple upsell-style offers instead.
  • 1:1 coaching, a group program, a mastermind, or a higher-end course...this is where back-end revenue lives, and your low-ticket offer feeds into it.

Back-end offers to maximize every buyer:

  • Once someone buys one offer, give them the opportunity to buy the others
  • Rotate your low-ticket offers in your weekly promo via email and instagram stories so buyers always have something to purchase

The goal: start with one low-ticket offer and one higher-priced offer or two alternating low ticket offers. Build your suite from there. Each new offer serves a different part of the same buyer journey.

Your Freebie

The fastest way to grow your email list on autopilot.

A freebie is a free resource you offer in exchange for someone’s email address. It’s the bridge between your content and your paid offers.

What makes a great freebie:

  • It solves the first step of the problem your paid offer solves completely
  • It's simple....a Google Doc, checklist, template, or short guide like this one
  • It gives them a real win fast, and makes them want more
  • It naturally leads them toward your paid offer

Examples:

  • A content ideas list that shows them what to post (leads to your content formula)
  • A roadmap like this one that shows the full picture (leads to your full blown program)

DM Automation

Let ManyChat do the follow-up.

DM automation is one of the most powerful tools in your funnel. When someone comments on your post, they automatically receive a DM with your freebie or offer link.

How to set it up:

  • Use ManyChat (the industry standard for Instagram DM automation). If you have Stan.Store you can use their DM automation too, but I prefer ManyChat because it lets me deliver a freebie and sell at the same time.
  • Set a keyword trigger...someone comments “GUIDE” and instantly gets a DM
  • The DM sends them either your freebie opt-in link or directly to your paid offer
  • Either way, they end up on your email list

Two paths to set up:

  • Freebie path: Comment → DM with freebie link → They opt in → On your email list
  • Offer path: Comment → DM with offer link → They buy → On your email list

Pro tip: Put your keyword trigger in every caption (“Comment GUIDE below and I’ll send it straight to your DMs”). This one move can 10x your list growth overnight.

Your Email List

The only platform you actually own.

Instagram is owned by Meta and the algorithm can change overnight. Your email list is yours forever. You can make a lot of money just from Instagram, but think of your list like a net that catches everyone else and keeps you top of mind no matter what’s going on with the algorithm on any given day.

The email system that works:

  • 5-email welcome sequence: set up once, runs automatically for every new subscriber. Introduces you, delivers the freebie, tells your story, and pitches your offer. Turns cold subscribers into warm buyers on autopilot.
  • Weekly broadcast emails: keep your list warm and buying. Send an email 5x a week or more (no, it’s not too much). If you have something to sell, send an email every day. Alternate between your offers each week. Do what you can do. If it's 1 email a week, start there. 

The rotation strategy—why it works:

  • Your subscribers are at different stages. Some are ready for your $47 offer; some are ready for your $500+ offer.
  • Rotating keeps every email relevant to someone on your list.

Here’s what happens when all six pieces are in place and working together:

  • Someone finds you through a reel → follows you → starts binging your content
  • They see your DM automation trigger → comment → get your freebie or offer link
  • They opt in → land on your email list → get your welcome sequence
  • They buy your low-ticket offer → get offered your other offers
  • They keep seeing your content, getting your emails, and buying over time

This is how you get to daily sales without daily launching. Every piece feeds the next. Every new follower enters a system built to convert them, on autopilot.

Start where you are.

Even if right now all you can manage is one yapping video a week and a few stories, give yourself full credit for that. Consistency is what trains the algorithm, earns your audience’s trust, and creates the sales you want. Build from there. The more you create, the faster and more confident you’ll become.
